Moses of Denial
This work was done as part of a guerilla-art campaign in support of a gun-control organization. It obviously is based on the famous helicopter shot of children from an L.A. Jewish daycare center being led to safety by shotgun-toting police after the tragic attack and murder of their fellow innocents by a deranged neo-nazi gunman. At the source of the word balloon we find the then president of the NRA , Charlton Heston, the man who ironically was known for playing Moses, spouting that group's advertising campaign slogan while wallowing in denial of the consequences of his group's policies. If anyone involved in a gun-control group would like to use this art to that end, please let me know and I'll send you a copy.
