Biographical Info

Born and raised in Chicago, BFA, University of Notre Dame, '70, MFA, University of Chicago, '77 .Currently residing in Frankfort IL. Enjoys the dubious distinction of membership in the Computer Graphics Pioneers SIG of SIGGRAPH, due to having been a computer animator starting in 1977, and one of the 2 animators of the first fully digital film, "Dilemma", directed by John Halas of Halas & Batchelor Films of London.  Worked as a director for several film and video houses in the Chicago area from 1977- 2001 and as a freelance designer and artist since. Also taught drawing at the South Bend Art Center and Computer Graphics, Illustration, and Advertising Design at DePaul University, and as an administrator at Lewis University.  Married to Suzanne,  father of Kara and Alana, stepdad of Dan, Julie and Michael Mason,  and grandfather of Casey and Riley Garrett (Kara), and Lowell and Willa Freedman (Alana), as well as Mary Jane and Lois Pahnke(Julie).
